Greetings Faithful Disciples of Jesus,
What a beautiful time of the year. The trees are budding, flowers are popping and the birds are singing. Please take some time to just get out and enjoy the beauty all around you.
There is also something else that is quite beautiful going on and I pray that you don’t miss it. During this time of Lent we have a mid-week service so that we can spend more time with Jesus in prayer and meditation. This mid-week service provides us an opportunity to share a meal together, to get to know each other better and to come together and worship as God’s disciples.
Have you ever thought about Lent as our Spring if you will, a time where we begin a new start? A time where through our preparation with Jesus we discover a new friendship through fellowship, or a new experience with Jesus as He becomes our focus during Lent. Just like the trees and flowers shooting out their new buds we too shoot out our new buds as we grow that new friendship or that new experience with Christ.
I pray that you too will see the beauty in this season of Lent, as Jesus provides opportunities for us to grow with Him and fellow disciples. Come join us on Wednesday evening and please if you are in town I pray we will see you on Sunday.
Enjoy this wonderful season as Christ provides us opportunities to grow our relationship with Him and fellow Disciples of Christ. I pray you are making plans to come and join us for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. Come, and please bring a friend.
